5 Books That Will Change Your Life

by | Oct 4, 2019

All it takes is one book, one chapter, maybe even one sentence, to inspire major change in your life.

Below are 5 books that I have personally read and highly recommend. Each of them helped and changed me in some way to get to this badass, healthy, happy entrepreneurial life I’m leading now.

You Are A Badass: How To Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero

I love this book SO much. I’ve re-read it multiple times, and on bad days I can just flip to a page, read for 30 minutes, and feel way better. It’s a witty and well-written self help book written by an author who has been stuck and learned how to get out of her own way. Expect humor, swears, sarcasm, inspiration, and motivation.

The book is designed to open your eyes to the world of unconventional living, particularly in your career, but the wisdom applies to every aspect of life. If you are feeling stuck, this will inspire you like no other.

Turning Pro

by Steven Pressfield

This is kind of an odd book but it’s a quick read and definitely has some good messages in it. Each chapter is about 1-2 pages so it’s very easy to digest, and the entire book is only 146 pages long. The author talks about how to up-level your life and how to really go after goals and dreams.

Big Magic

by Elizabeth Gilbert

This is the second major book by the author of Eat, Pray, Love (which I have admittedly not read but have heard it’s great). She talks about ideas and creativity and how to access them. She thinks about them in unusual ways that open your mind to new possibilities and face your fears. If you’re a creative looking for inspiration or direction, or someone too afraid to give creativity a shot, definitely give this a try.
